Zaghred, zalghet, zarghed, zalhouta, zaghrouda… no matter how you pronounce it, it is the unmistakable sound made by women all over the Arab world in weddings and other joyous occasions. THe tongue starts making that weird thing, the hand goes over the mouth, and the pitch reaches a level unparalleled by any other creature on the planet. Lilililililililililiiiiiiiiiii!!! I can never pull it off, but my mom is always the first one to get it going at family weddings XD
